Dog Business Cards
Do You Have Yours?

The best dog business cards are a valuable marketing tool for your dog bakery business. With all of the high tech ways to promote your business these days, the importance of a traditional business card can be overlooked.

If you operate a dog bakery business then pet business cards are an absolute must. Even if your pet business is strictly online, your pet business card can be an effective marketing tool. You can create your own dog business cards or you can order them from an online or local printing company.

Create Your Own Dog Business Cards

Dog Business Cards Creating your own cards can be a good choice when you are first starting out. If you already own a computer and printer, then printing your own cards can be affordable in the short term.

If you do decide to print your own cards, spend a little more and invest in the ones that indicate they are smooth edged. These look more professional than the ones with perforated edges. You can access free templates online for creating your cards.

Purchase Your Dog Business Cards Online

Ordering your cards from a printing company can be a very affordable option. In some instances even more affordable than printing your own. There are companies that advertise free business cards and you just pay the shipping. They offer certain stock designs to choose from and you just plug in the details for your card.

You are usually limited in the customization of the cards and in how many lines of information you can include. I have purchased cards this way in the past and have been very happy with them. I was able to find a dog related template that worked very well for my business.

Keep in mind there are additional options you can choose for your cards that will add to the cost, such as a gloss finish, or printing on both sides, etc.

Many printing companies also allow you to create your own card and then upload it to be printed. You will need to create the card in the file format they specify. This is a great option if you have already have your own logo that you want to use.

What Should Your Business Card Say?

Keep in mind that your dog business cards serve as a mini advertisement for your business. They should tell people what you do and how to contact you. Your business card should include:

  • Company Name – Definitely an essential element, your company name should be prominent on your card.

  • Tag Line or Motto – Including a tag line can be a nice touch. You should definitely include one if your company name does not clearly convey your product or service.

  • Address – This of course, lets people know where you are located. It is recommended that you include a street address even if you are a home based or online business because it helps establish trust with the potential customer.

  • Website – In today’s high tech world this is an absolute must. If you do not currently have a website you need to make it a priority.

  • Phone number – Including your phone number is another must. It gives potential customers a way to contact you. If you have an online business it can be tempting not to include your phone number, but including it will build trust with your potential customer. If you work from home you will need to have a separate business number. If you search the web you will find a number of affordable services that offer business phone numbers.

  • Email – Some consider email an optional element to the business card. I prefer to include it because it gives customers another convenient way to contact you.

  • Your Name – If you are a very small business, including your name on your card can be optional, however, it does help build trust with your customers.

  • Your title – I think this one is optional, but can be a way to add credibility.

  • Logo – Including a logo and color add to your professional image and help convey what your business is about.

If you do not already have your business cards then make getting them a priority. Once you have them in hand use them every chance you get to promote your dog bakery business.
