Going Bananas Dog Cake RecipeThis dog cake recipe was a big hit with my own dogs when I baked it for Sammi’s 16th birthday. This cake for dogs uses healthy ingredients including bananas, flax seed, and honey. The carob is a delicious alternative to chocolate and is safe for our canine friends. Banana Carob Dog Birthday Cake Recipe
1 Banana1 Cup Water 1 Egg 1/4 Cup Flax Seed 1/4 Cup Carob Powder 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder Place banana and water in food processor. Pulse until banana is pureed. Add Egg and honey and pulse to well mixed. In a medium bowl mix together dry ingredients until well combined. Add dry ingredients to food processor. And process until combined. Do not over mix. Pour into prepared 8” cake pan. Bake for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. TIP: To bake this cake I bought a small disposable cake pan and molded it into a a dog bone shape. I decorated the cake using a peanut butter and honey dog treat icing.
