Top Dogs Agree...Peanut Butter Dog Treat is a Winner!

No doubt about it, a peanut butter dog biscuit gets a paws up from my dogs every time. We use peanut butter in a lot of the treats we make for one simple reason...dogs LOVE peanut butter!

Occasionally, my husband will give each of our dogs a dab of peanut butter. The dogs love it and my husband loves to watch them as they try to get the peanut butter from the roof of their mouths.

I don't recommend doing this on a regular basis due to the high calorie and fat content of peanut butter. A much healthier way to give your dogs a peanut butter fix is give them peanut butter dog biscuits.

Peanut butter is a healthy ingredient for dog treats. It contains high levels of protein. In addition, it has important nutrients including Vitamin E and Vitamin B3.

When making peanut butter treats at home I always use an "all natural" peanut butter, with no added sugar or salt. You can usually find an "all natural" brand at the grocery store.

Here is an easy peanut butter dog treat recipe for you to try.

And here is one of my (and the dogs') absolute favorite recipes for dog treats - Peanut Butter-Carob-Banana Bites

Would you like to try a dog cookie recipe with a little pizzaz? Here is another favorite that is fun to make - Carob and Peanut Butter Pinwheels.

And this peanut butter dog biscuit recipe is loaded with healthy and natural dog treat ingredients.
