Pumpkin Dog Treats are Howling Good!

Not only are these pumpkin dog biscuits delicious they are also healthy. Pumpkins contain beta-carotene, an antioxidant.

Antioxidants can help improve immune function and reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease. Pumpkins are also loaded with many nutrients and vitamins.

Bake up this pumpkin treat recipe as a Halloween Dog Treat your dog is sure to love!

Pumpkin Dog Treat Recipe

2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Pumpkin
1 Egg
3 Tablespoons Canola oil
1 Tablespoon Molasses
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions:

Add water, egg, molasses, and oil to large mixing bowl and whisk together. Add pumpkin and cinnamon and stir together until well blended. Mix in flour 1/2 cup at a time until stiff dough forms.

Place on floured surface and roll to desired thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Bake at 300 degrees. If rolled to 3/8" baking time is 25 to 30 minutes..or until a golden brown.

Tip: After shutting off the oven I leave the dog biscuits in the oven for a couple hours to make sure they are completely dry and crunchy. Then they can be stored for a long time with out worrying about spoilage.
